Draft Survey
November 1, 2022
Necochea and Bahia Blanca are the Argentinean ports with deepest waters; they are specialized on loading grains and by-products.
Bills of lading are issued according to official shore scale figures.
We have experienced during our attendance on board many vessels, conducting draft surveys that cargo weight informed by shore scales doesn’t match with draft survey calculations.
From normal discrepancies up to one inch draft weight to many hundred tons shortage are not always considered by vessel’s Master on signing Mate’s Receipts leading in mayor claims at discharge ports.
The fact of conducting such survey gives the interested parties a general knowledge of the embarked cargo weight before signing or accepting shipper’s figures.
Necochea and Bahia Blanca ports are well protected from weather action minimizing swell at the time of draft reading. Boat services are available as per request.
We count with certified hydrometers for draft surveys and we are able to issue and print a report on board. For more info contact us
